Countdown to Vienna Review - SWITZERLAND!!

Switzerland hosted and won the very first Eurovision Song Contest, and so to mark the 60th contest you would think they would come in all guns blazing with strong song that would *slay* all competition.  Weeeeell......

Melanie Rene won the Swiss National Final this year with "My Time To Shine".  Now while I give props to a song that can work the line "No more mucking around" into the chorus, I'm not sure whether Melanie will be shining, or maybe just glowing dimly a bit...  Anyhow, have a listen for yourself!!:

So what do the panel reckon to the Swiss tune?:

Asta Bjornsdottir:  "What‘s this?? Feathers and paint?? A native american in Switzerland?? LOL The video is so strange that the song just flies by and is totally forgettable. What I remember after the first listen is that she was running around in the darkness, feathers or no feathers, and talking about her time to shine..... But that‘s all.... there was no shining!!"

Hasse Skoldebjer: "This does absolutley nothing for me, pee break. 2/10."

Annemieke Kelleter: "Switzerland, my last place. Just listen to the way she sings it's her time to shine... if that is shining, please let me live in the dark. Totally uninspired imho."

Adam and Charlotte Lane: "Over produced, but ok. Her voice is good, but the song itself just doesn’t seem strong enough. I don’t think this will do too well, but who knows, this is Eurovision! This probably wouldn’t ‘make it’ in the real world! 3/10"

So not much love in the room for Switzerland then! What do YOU think though? Is it more cuckoo clock than Rolex? Let us know in the comments below! :D
